Silicon Valley Pride Event and Parade

Join members of our congregation for the Silicon Valley Pride Parade. Everyone is welcome! Sign up to march in the parade, visit the booths and hang out with us.

The Parade route is in downtown San Jose – Julian Street & Market Street, to Plaza de César Chávez Park

The parade registration will begin at 8:30 am at Julian and Market streets. The Parade will step off at 10:30 and end at the Cesar Chavez Plaza around noon. For those in the Parade please wear a Westhope hat or shirt or button. Then wear  what ever rainbow clothes you have or bright colors.  Please make a colorful sign to carry welcoming the LGBTQ+ community to Westhope Church.  We will do some chants or songs along the way and will have word sheets available.  

No need to sign up; just show up at 830am at the intersection of Julian and Market Street to register onsite!

Interfaith Volunteer Shifts

The first volunteer events begin on Friday night Aug 29th from 11am to 1pm with truck/van driving. Booth set up is Saturday at 11:45am till 1:30pm Aug 30th.

Booth Shift Activities include What’s my Story? (Pastoral Skills required), Children’s activities, General Booth help, Floater/Wrist Band Manager

These will repeat through out Sunday.

These Interfaith Booth activities are all in shifts of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Sign ups are online. To sign up please click here.

This will be a lot of fun to work in the booth or to march in the parade, or to do booth. Thanks for your support!.
